The partner guide

Last reviewed 23 October 2026

For IT providers and agencies running Ascripto for their clients: becoming a partner, adding clients, the steps their administrators take, your template library, billing, and what happens when a client leaves. What Ascripto offers partners is on Ascripto for MSPs; the rules are in the Partner Agreement.

The whole journey

  1. Apply, and wait for our email.
  2. Invite your colleagues and add a payment method.
  3. Add a client, or ask a client that already uses Ascripto.
  4. Have the client’s administrator connect its directory and, on Microsoft 365, deploy the Outlook add-in, by a setup link.
  5. Apply a design from your library, choose the client’s plan, and deploy.
  6. Hand the workspace to an owner at the client.

Inside a client’s workspace everyone works as an administrator. Nobody of yours can remove the client’s owner, transfer ownership or delete the workspace, and the client sees every action as “someone at” your company.

Step 1 — Apply

  1. Sign in to app.ascripto.com with your company’s Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account. Your organisation is taken from that sign-in, so use the company account, not a personal one.
  2. Open Account & security from the account menu in the header. Under Ascripto for partners, click Apply to be a partner.
  3. Enter your Business name, Website and Country, accept the Terms of Service and the Partner Agreement, and click Apply.

The card then says the application is waiting for our review. We email you when we decide; once approved, the card shows Open the partner dashboard, and so does the header’s workspace switcher, as All customers.

Your own workspace. Write to us to name one of your workspaces as your own: it gets Business free, for your own signatures and demonstrations, and it is where your library’s templates are made.

Step 2 — Members and billing

Members lists your people. Under Invite a member, enter an address at your own domain and choose Admin or Technician. They accept by signing in with your organisation’s account. Remove takes away every client at once and signs them out everywhere.

Billing:

  1. Choose your Billing country. It fixes the currency: euros in the EU and EEA, US dollars elsewhere.
  2. Click Add a payment method and enter it on Stripe’s page. Paid plans for your clients need one.
  3. Invoices, address and VAT ID opens Stripe’s portal, where your VAT ID goes on your invoices.

The page shows your discount, each plan’s prices per client, and your last twelve invoices.

Step 3 — Add a client

A client new to Ascripto

  1. On Customers, under Add a customer, enter the Customer’s email domain.
  2. Tick the box: you accept the Terms of Service, including the Data Processing Agreement, on the client’s behalf, and confirm you are authorised to. Make sure you are: the client is bound by it, and we record who accepted and when.
  3. Click Add customer, then Open on its row.

You hold the workspace until someone at the client owns it (step 6). It starts on the free audit.

A client that already uses Ascripto

  1. Under Ask an existing customer, enter its Owner’s email address and click Send request. The answer is always “Sent”, whether or not that address owns a workspace.
  2. The owner gets an email asking them to sign in, and a note under the header there: your company asks to manage this workspace. In Settings → Team they choose to let you manage it, or Decline.
  3. Once they approve, the client appears on your Customers. A decline is not shown to you, and you cannot ask the same workspace again for 30 days.

If the client pays for its own plan, it keeps paying until the end of its current billing period, and you pay from then. Its row says until when.

Connecting Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and deploying the Outlook add-in, need an administrator of the client’s own tenant. Through GDAP you cannot give the consent or reach Integrated apps; if you hold an administrator account in the client’s tenant, use the client’s Settings → Connections as the Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace guide describes. Otherwise send a setup link:

  1. Open the client, then Settings → Connections. Under Ask your organisation’s administrator, choose Connect Microsoft 365, Connect Google Workspace or Deploy the Outlook add-in.
  2. Copy the link now: it is shown only this once. Send it to the client’s administrator.
  3. They open it, see that your company asked, sign in with Microsoft or Google and approve. They need no Ascripto account. For the add-in, the page shows them the steps in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

A link works for 7 days. A connection link works once; the add-in’s shows its steps until it expires. The list under it says whether each was used, and Revoke ends one at once. On Google Workspace, signature access is still allowed by a super admin, as the Google Workspace guide’s step 3 describes.

Step 5 — Your library, the plan, and deploying

Making a template. In your own workspace, build a signature with the block constructor and publish it. On Signatures, choose Add to the library on its row. HTML signatures cannot be library templates.

Applying it. On Library, tick the clients and click Apply. Each copy takes the client’s own logo, colours, font, company name and social links from its Brand kit, and the images you uploaded go into the client’s image library. A new copy reaches nobody until you give it a rule in that workspace. Each client’s line says what happened:

It saysMeaning
Added; give it a rule in that workspaceA new signature, taking nobody yet.
UpdatedIts copy is now your latest version, published; people get it at the next deploy.
Already up to dateNothing to do.
They have a signature by that name alreadyRename one of the two, then apply again.
Doesn’t work with their Brand kitSomething in the design needs what their kit lacks; open the workspace and look at the kit.

A new version. Publish the template again in your own workspace. The library then shows which clients’ copies are behind; tick them and apply. Clients you leave unticked keep the version they have.

The plan. On Customers, an admin chooses each client’s plan. Moving up applies at once; moving down applies from the 1st of next month, and the row says so. Then deploy in the client’s workspace as usual (How-to).

Step 6 — Hand the workspace over

In a workspace you hold, open Settings → Team, invite the client’s owner-to-be and tick Invite them to own this workspace. Whoever at the client accepts first becomes its owner, and you stay on as an administrator. On Microsoft 365, the invitation can go out once the client’s directory is connected.

Day to day

Customers puts the clients that need a look first, with why: no directory connected, directory reads failing, no signature published, the last deploy failed, Google signature access missing, the Outlook add-in not seen this week, or off-brand signatures. Clients on another of our regions are listed without these until the dashboard can read them.

To move between clients, use the workspace switcher in the header; All customers takes you back.

Letting a client go

On Customers, an admin clicks Let go on the client’s row. Your people lose access at once, you pay for the workspace to the end of the month, and its owner then has 14 days to choose a plan or the workspace drops to the free audit. Tell the client first. A workspace you still hold cannot be let go: hand it over first (step 6), or write to us to close it.

The client’s owner can also remove you at any time, from Settings → Team, with the same result.

How you are billed

On the 1st of each month we issue one invoice for the month before, a line per client, with your discount, and charge it to your payment method. Each client costs its plan’s monthly minimum in proportion to the days you paid for it, or its people at the plan’s price per person if that is more, at the highest plan it had that month. If an invoice is unpaid 14 days after it was issued, the workspaces you pay for are suspended until it is paid. The Partner Agreement has the details.
